Description

The Glacia is a 73cm metal track lighting base bar finished in matt black, designed to accept up to four track-mounted spotlights (sold separately). The bar mounts surface-flush to the ceiling with a 35mm projection, carrying mains voltage along the recessed slot that allows spotlights to be positioned and repositioned anywhere along the 730mm run without rewiring.

Designed for task and accent lighting in kitchens, home offices, retail displays and gallery walls, the track allows individual spotlights to be angled independently to highlight worktops, artworks, product displays or architectural features. The 73cm length suits runs above kitchen islands, above desks, or centred over a display wall where three to four adjustable spots provide better coverage than a single fixed ceiling light.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium finish carries a low sheen that minimises reflections under daylight and integrates cleanly with black window frames, dark cabinetry and contemporary interiors. The track accepts Ideal Lux track spotlights with compatible adapters — check the spotlight specification before purchase to confirm compatibility. Wiring terminates inside the track housing via a standard ceiling rose connection.

Do the spotlights come with the track?

No. The Glacia is the base bar only. Track-compatible spotlights are sold separately and must be purchased to create a working lighting system. Check that any spotlights you select are compatible with Ideal Lux track systems before ordering.

How many spotlights can fit on a 73cm bar?

The track accepts up to four spotlights depending on the head size of each individual spotlight. Smaller spotlights may allow all four to fit comfortably; larger heads may require spacing that limits the practical number to three.

Can the spotlights be moved after installation?

Yes. Once the track is wired and the spotlights are clipped onto the recessed slot, individual heads can be slid along the track and repositioned without cutting power or rewiring. This allows light direction to be adjusted as room layouts or displays change.

What type of ceiling fixing is required?

The track mounts surface-flush to the ceiling using screws into the ceiling substrate (plasterboard with cavity fixings, or directly into joists or concrete). The mains connection is made via a standard UK ceiling rose before the track housing is secured over the top.
