Description

The Gessan is a 7 light chrome chandelier built from slender polished chrome rods arranged in a radial diamond-shaped frame around a central vertical axis. Seven candle-style SES fittings sit within the open metalwork at even intervals, each capable of holding a 60W bulb (sold separately). The frame measures 55cm in diameter and 84cm in total height including the chain suspension.

Designed for entrance halls, above staircases, and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Gessan works both as a pendant chandelier on chain suspension and as a semi-flush fitting when mounted closer to the ceiling. The open diamond structure allows light to project through the gaps between the rods while the polished chrome surfaces reflect ambient light back into the room. The 3.8kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable load-bearing point.

The polished chrome finish provides a high-reflective surface that catches daylight and lamplight, creating shifting reflections as you move around the room. The diamond profile gives the chandelier visual presence without blocking sightlines, making it suitable for hallways where you need a statement piece that doesn't obstruct the view down a corridor. The seven-bulb configuration provides enough light output to act as primary lighting in a 4m x 4m dining room when paired with 6-8W warm-white LED candle bulbs.

What bulbs does the Gessan take?

The chandelier takes seven SES (E14 small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-8W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a traditional candle-light effect.

Can it be fitted as a flush ceiling light?

Yes. The Gessan can be installed as a pendant chandelier on chain suspension or mounted semi-flush closer to the ceiling depending on your ceiling height and preference. The 84cm total height includes the suspension chain, so flush mounting reduces the drop significantly.

What ceiling height is needed?
