Description

The Floren is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling light with cascading crystal droplets housed inside three clear glass cylinders, mounted on a polished chrome curved branch frame. Each of the three shades contains a cluster of faceted acrylic crystal strands that catch and scatter light from the integrated LED inside, creating a sparkling effect without the weight or cost of cut glass crystal. The polished chrome frame curves outward from a central circular ceiling mount, spacing the three shades at approximately 44cm total diameter.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m where a full-drop pendant would hang too low, the Floren provides decorative overhead lighting in living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls. The 22cm height from ceiling to bottom of the shade sits flush enough to avoid head clearance issues in hallways or above dining tables where people stand to pull out chairs. The semi-flush mount works on standard UK ceiling roses and the integrated LEDs remove the need to source and fit separate bulbs on installation.

Each glass cylinder measures approximately 12-14cm in diameter and holds a dense curtain of crystal droplets that cascade down from the top of the shade. The 22cm projection from ceiling to bottom of shade makes the Floren suitable for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m. In lower-ceilinged rooms it provides adequate clearance above head height; in higher rooms it sits close enough to the ceiling to remain visually cohesive.

Are the crystals real glass?

The crystal droplets are faceted acrylic rather than cut glass. This reduces weight and cost while still delivering the sparkle and light-scattering effect of traditional crystal chandeliers.

How is the fitting secured to the ceiling?

At 3.6kg the Floren requires fixing directly to a ceiling joist or a timber noggin between joists. Plasterboard fixings alone are not adequate for this weight. The circular chrome backplate covers a standard UK ceiling rose and wiring box.
