Description
The Eveready Gold AAA alkaline batteries deliver 1.5V power for remotes, clocks, calculators, wireless keyboards, torches and children's toys. Each AAA cell measures 10.5mm diameter by 44.5mm length and uses alkaline chemistry to provide consistent voltage output across its discharge cycle, avoiding the rapid voltage drop characteristic of cheaper carbon-zinc cells.
Designed for low-to-mid drain devices that run continuously or intermittently over weeks or months, these batteries suit TV remotes, wall clocks, bathroom scales, wireless mice and small LED torches. The alkaline chemistry gives approximately 3x the runtime of equivalent carbon-zinc AAA cells in typical remote control use. The 10-year shelf life means batteries stored in a cupboard or drawer retain usable capacity for a decade, making multi-packs practical for home or office stock.
Each pack contains four AAA cells sealed in a blister pack that protects the terminals from short-circuit during storage. The gold-and-black livery distinguishes the Eveready Gold range from the standard Eveready Red series and the premium Eveready Ultimate Lithium line. Total pack weight is 50g, with each individual cell weighing approximately 11-12g.

Frequently Asked
What devices are these batteries suited for?
Eveready Gold AAA batteries work well in low-to-mid drain devices including TV remotes, wall clocks, wireless keyboards and mice, bathroom scales, small LED torches and most children's toys. They are less suited to high-drain devices like digital cameras or bright multi-LED torches, where lithium AAA cells perform better.
How long do they last in storage?
The batteries carry a 10-year shelf life when stored at room temperature in the original blister pack. This means a pack bought today and stored in a cupboard will retain usable capacity until 2035.
Can these be used in all AAA devices?
Yes. AAA alkaline cells are compatible with any device designed for AAA batteries, regardless of brand. The 1.5V output is standard across all alkaline AAA cells.
What's the difference between Eveready Gold and Eveready Red batteries?
Eveready Gold alkaline batteries typically offer longer runtime than the standard Eveready Red carbon-zinc range, particularly in devices with continuous or moderate drain. For the highest capacity in AAA size, Eveready Ultimate Lithium provides approximately 8x the energy of carbon-zinc but at a higher cost per cell.
