Description

The Emberly is a 170cm Moroccan-style floor lamp with a curved satin nickel stem suspending a teardrop-shaped crystal cage, housing a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. The shade is built from pierced nickel metalwork layered over faceted crystal strands, creating a cage structure that diffuses light through both the metal cutouts and the crystal facets when lit.

Designed for reading corners, bedroom alcoves and lounge side-of-sofa positions, the lamp provides ambient light rather than focused task lighting. The arched stem curves outward from a weighted circular base (approximately 40cm diameter), suspending the shade approximately 130-140cm from the floor and allowing the lamp to lean over an armchair or reading seat without the base needing to be directly beside the chair. The 6kg weight gives stability on both bare floors and rugs.

The satin nickel finish is a low-sheen brushed metalwork that sits between polished chrome and antique brass in tone, pairing with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The crystal strands inside the cage catch and redirect light from the bulb, creating small refracted patterns on nearby walls when the lamp is lit. The Emberly uses a standard BC bulb (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LED, halogen or traditional filament depending on preferred light quality.

The lamp takes a standard BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in living rooms and bedrooms.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. If using an LED bulb, select one labeled as dimmable and pair it with an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Traditional filament and halogen bulbs are inherently dimmable on standard dimmer switches.

How far does the shade extend from the base?

The arched stem curves outward, suspending the shade approximately 50-60cm forward from the centre of the circular base. This allows the lamp to lean over a reading chair without needing to position the base directly beside it.

No. The lamp has a fixed 170cm height from the base to the top of the shade. The shade itself hangs at approximately 130-140cm from the floor, suitable for side-of-sofa or beside-armchair reading positions.
