Description

The Duceri is a 3W LED emergency downlight with a non-maintained function, meaning it operates only when mains power fails. An integral 3.2V 800mAh lithium battery pack provides a minimum 3-hour emergency duration, and the fitting includes white, silver and black interchangeable bezels to match different ceiling finishes.

Designed for commercial and residential escape routes, the downlight fits a 90mm ceiling cut-out and projects 45mm below the ceiling line once installed. The non-maintained mode keeps the LED off during normal mains operation, switching it on automatically when power is lost to illuminate exit routes, stairwells, corridors and fire escape paths. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations.

The open lens design provides a wide beam spread of approximately 120 degrees, covering a floor area of 3-4m diameter from a standard 2.4m ceiling height. The grey driver unit connects to mains via a short cable and clips into the ceiling void separately from the white LED module, allowing the driver to be replaced without disturbing the downlight aperture. The 5500K colour temperature produces cool white light that aids visibility during emergency situations.

Frequently Asked

What does non-maintained mean?

Non-maintained emergency lighting operates only when mains power fails. During normal operation the LED remains off, conserving the battery. When power is lost, the fitting switches to battery power and illuminates escape routes for a minimum of 3 hours.

What cut-out size is required?

The downlight requires a 90mm diameter ceiling cut-out and projects 45mm below the ceiling line once fitted. The driver unit sits in the ceiling void and requires approximately 100mm of clearance above the downlight module.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations outside bathroom zones. For wet environments or areas requiring splash protection, an IP65-rated emergency downlight is needed.

How often does the battery need replacing?

Lithium battery life varies depending on usage and ambient temperature, but typically lasts 3-4 years. The battery is replaceable without removing the entire fitting — consult the manual for replacement procedure.
