Description

The Dione is a 35cm diameter crystal chandelier with a polished chrome circular frame trimmed with vertical crystal batons arranged in a cylindrical cage. Four G9 bulb sockets sit inside the crystal structure, each taking a 33W maximum halogen or LED bulb (sold separately). The fitting suspends from three cables attached to a polished chrome ceiling rose.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bedroom positions where ceiling heights allow 2.4m or above, the compact 35cm diameter suits 4-5 person dining tables and smaller kitchen islands without overwhelming the space. The vertical crystal batons catch light from the internal bulbs and refract it outward in shifting patterns as you move around the room. The polished chrome reflects surrounding surfaces and daylight, adding brightness even when the bulbs are off.

Each crystal baton is a rectangular bar measuring approximately 100mm x 15mm, positioned vertically around the circumference to form the cylindrical shape visible in the image. The combined chrome frame and crystal batons give the fitting a 2.8kg weight, requiring secure fixing to a joist or ceiling structure rated for the load. The chrome finish has a mirror-polish that pairs with contemporary and transitional interiors using grey, white and neutral tones.

The Dione takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each rated to a maximum of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The suspension cables are adjustable on installation. For a dining table or kitchen island, the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Wipe the crystal batons gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the crystal or chrome frame.
