Description

The Dione is a 350mm flush ceiling light with four G9 bulb holders set inside a drum-shaped arrangement of vertical crystal prisms and crystal bead strands, all contained within a polished chrome circular frame. The 210mm height mounts directly to the ceiling with no drop, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and compact living spaces that need ambient light without sacrificing headroom, the Dione combines the reflective quality of crystal with the practicality of a surface-mounted fitting. The crystal prisms and beads catch and refract light from the four G9 bulbs (sold separately), distributing it across the ceiling and upper walls rather than directing it downwards. The polished chrome frame provides a defined edge and enhances the reflective effect of the crystal elements.

The 2.5kg weight requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or into a proper ceiling-rated anchor point, not just into plasterboard alone. The chrome finish pairs with both warm-toned and cool-toned interiors, sitting comfortably in modern, transitional and traditional settings. The 350mm diameter makes the fitting visually present in a 3-4m bedroom or hallway without dominating smaller spaces like a bathroom or walk-in wardrobe.

What bulb does it take?

The Dione takes four G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 210mm height is measured from the ceiling surface to the bottom of the fitting, so it sits within the ceiling plane rather than dropping below it. This makes it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m and above.

Is the Dione dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs you fit. LED G9 bulbs marked as dimmable will work with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, but not all LED G9 bulbs are dimmable. Check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer.

How is the crystal maintained?

The crystal prisms and beads can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the bulbs are switched off and cool. For more stubborn dust, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fittings or using chemical sprays near the bulb holders.
