Description

The Dexlan is a 9-light chandelier with frosted alabaster glass shades mounted on nine curved arms extending from a central satin nickel stem. Each arm holds an upward-facing ES golf bulb fitting (sold separately) behind a translucent white alabaster bowl, casting diffused ambient light across a wide horizontal spread of 79cm diameter.

Designed for open-plan dining rooms, two-storey entrance halls and stairwell landings with ceiling heights above 2.7m, the Dexlan provides balanced multi-point illumination without the visual weight of a dense crystal or candle-style chandelier. The 69cm drop from ceiling to base sits the fixture 1.8-2m above a dining table in a typical 2.7-3m room, distributing light evenly across a rectangular table up to 2.5m long.

The satin nickel finish on the metalwork has a low-sheen brushed surface that minimises glare and pairs comfortably with both warm traditional interiors and cooler contemporary schemes. The frosted alabaster glass softens the direct output from the nine bulbs, giving a gentler presence than clear or prismatic glass alternatives. At 12kg fully assembled, the chandelier requires a secure ceiling fixing capable of supporting the combined weight of frame, shades and bulbs.

Each of the nine ES golf bulb positions accepts up to 60W, allowing a combined maximum load of 540W if all nine sockets run at full rating. Most installations use 6-10W LED golf bulbs at 2700K-3000K to achieve 400-600 lumens per point without excessive heat or energy draw.

Each of the nine fittings takes an ES (E27 Edison screw) golf bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 6-10W warm-white LED golf bulbs to achieve good ambient light without high running costs.

The 69cm drop from ceiling to base works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. In a typical dining room the chandelier sits 1.8-2m above the table surface, providing clearance for standing and serving.
