Description
The Delya is a 45cm flush ceiling light combining a chrome frame, a domed smoked glass shade, and six G9 bulbs surrounded by a cascade of faceted crystal beads. The smoked glass sits on top, creating a translucent ceiling contact while the beads hang beneath, visible through the glass and open at the bottom. The chrome frame holds the structure together and provides a polished metallic accent.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.6m, the Delya adds decorative presence without dropping into headroom. The 25cm projection keeps the fitting tight to the ceiling plane, making it suitable for bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and living rooms where a pendant would hang too low. The six G9 bulbs (sold separately, max 28W each) sit inside the crystal cluster, so when lit the beads act as a diffuser and throw faceted light patterns onto the surrounding surfaces.
The smoked glass dome filters light upwards onto the ceiling, creating a soft halo effect, while the open underside directs the primary light downwards through the crystal beads. The chrome finish on the frame reflects surrounding colours and light sources, helping the fitting integrate into both warm and cool-toned interiors. At 7.1kg the Delya requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced rose — the weight comes from the combination of metal frame, thick glass dome and the density of the crystal bead cluster.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Delya take?
The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs, each with a maximum wattage of 28W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3W-5W G9 LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to balance light output with heat and running cost.
Is it suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 25cm projection from ceiling to underside keeps the fitting within the flush category, making it suitable for ceiling heights of 2.3m and above without dropping into usable headroom.
Can the crystal beads be cleaned?
The beads can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the fitting is cool and isolated from mains power. For thorough cleaning, individual beads can be removed by carefully unhooking them from their fixings, cleaned separately, and re-attached.
Does the smoked glass affect light output?
The smoked glass tints the upward light onto the ceiling, creating a softer halo effect. The primary downward light passes through the open underside and the crystal beads, so the overall brightness depends mainly on the wattage and colour temperature of the G9 bulbs chosen.
