Description

The Coral is a 108cm island pendant with seven E14 bulbs housed inside an elongated oval frame wrapped in vertical glass rods. The matt gold frame forms two concentric ovals, one within the other, creating a layered structure that diffuses light through the glass rod grid in all horizontal directions.

Designed for dining tables and kitchen islands between 1.8m and 2.4m long, the Coral provides even illumination along the length of the table without creating hotspots. The 55cm drop allows the fitting to sit 700-800mm above a dining surface in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The suspension wires are adjustable on installation to accommodate lower or higher ceiling positions.

The glass rods run vertically around the entire perimeter of both oval rings, scattering light horizontally while preventing direct glare from the seven bulbs inside. The matt gold finish on the metal frame absorbs some reflection, giving a softer, warmer tone than polished brass or chrome. At 14kg the fitting has substantial presence but requires proper ceiling fixing into a structural joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight.

The two-tier oval construction creates visual interest from below while maintaining a relatively slim 55cm vertical profile, making the Coral suitable for dining rooms where ceiling height is moderate but horizontal spread is needed. The matt gold pairs well with warm whites, natural timbers, greens and darker tones in both modern and transitional interiors.

The Coral takes seven E14 small Edison screw bulbs (candle bulbs), sold separately. For dining table use, warm-white LED bulbs between 4W and 6W per bulb at 2700K-3000K provide comfortable ambient light without glare through the glass rods.

What table length does it suit?

The 108cm length works best over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.8m and 2.4m long. For shorter tables the fitting can overpower the space; for longer tables consider two fittings or a larger island pendant.

How is it installed?

At 14kg the Coral requires a ceiling fixing into a structural joist or a ceiling rose rated for at least 15kg. The suspension wires are adjustable during installation to set the drop height, typically 700-800mm above the table surface.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. Choose dimmable E14 LED bulbs and pair with a compatible LED dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no integrated dimming electronics.
