Description

The Coral is a 56cm diameter chandelier built around five E14 bulb positions enclosed by vertical glass rods arranged in a cylindrical diffuser. The matt gold metal frame forms a rounded structure with top and bottom rings connected by vertical supports, with the glass rods filling the gaps to create a continuous translucent barrier. Each bulb sits inside this barrier, so light passes through the rods before reaching the room.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Coral works where a decorative fitting is needed without dominating the space. The 56cm diameter suits tables of 120-160cm length or rooms of 12-16m² floor area. The glass rods diffuse light evenly around the full 360° circumference, avoiding harsh downward glare while maintaining enough brightness for ambient use. Bulbs are sold separately — most users fit five 4-6W warm-white LED candles at 2700K-3000K.

The matt gold finish on the metal frame provides a warm accent without the high reflectivity of polished brass, making it easier to pair with varied wall colours and existing metalwork. The glass rods are clear rather than frosted, so the individual filaments or LED chips of the bulbs remain visible when lit — pairing with decorative candle bulbs reinforces the geometric pattern of the rods. At 9kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings; the chain length is adjustable on installation to suit the room height.

What bulbs does the Coral take?

The chandelier takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs (sold separately). Most users fit 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient dining or bedroom lighting. Decorative filament candles work well as the bulbs are visible through the glass rods.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 42cm body height plus chain and canopy typically requires a minimum ceiling height of 2.4m. For dining tables the chandelier usually hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceilings. The chain is adjustable on installation.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs fitted. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with an appropriate LED-compatible dimmer. Check bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.

How are the glass rods cleaned?

The glass rods can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the fitting is switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, a slightly damp cloth with distilled water works well, but avoid soaking the metal frame or leaving water to drip onto the lampholder assemblies.
