Description

The Coral is an 11-light chandelier built from two tiers of clear ribbed glass rods set into matt gold frames, suspended on a matching matt gold chain. Each tier consists of a curved rectangular frame filled with tightly spaced vertical glass rods that diffuse light horizontally while the tiered structure spreads light vertically across a 92cm drop. The 11 E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the glass enclosures, turning the rods themselves into diffusers.

Designed for dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, double-height entrance halls and stair voids, the Coral provides both ambient and architectural light. The 56cm diameter footprint suits tables up to 180cm long or 120cm wide without overwhelming the surface below. In stair voids and hallways the two-tier structure fills vertical space, providing light to multiple levels from a single fitting. The matt gold finish softens reflections under daylight and pairs comfortably with warm-toned woods, brass hardware and grey or cream walls.

Each tier measures approximately 28cm tall with the glass rods running floor-to-ceiling inside the frame, creating a ribbed texture that catches and scatters light from the bulbs. The combined weight of 17.5kg requires a ceiling fixing rated for chandelier loads and the chain allows height adjustment on installation. The matt gold finish is applied to solid metal frames rather than plated, giving a consistent tone that does not tarnish or require polishing.

The chandelier takes 11 E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the matt gold finish. Clear filament bulbs also work if you want visible bulb detail through the glass rods.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 92cm drop plus the diameter means the chandelier needs ceiling heights of at least 2.7m to avoid the lower tier sitting too close to a dining table. In stair voids and double-height spaces the two-tier structure works particularly well as it provides light to multiple levels.

Is the chain adjustable?

Yes. The chain can be shortened during installation to reduce the overall drop, allowing the chandelier to be set higher in rooms with lower ceilings or to adjust the position above a dining table.

How is the matt gold finish maintained?

The matt gold is applied to solid metal frames and does not require polishing. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. The glass rods can be cleaned with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, but avoid soaking the metal frames or using chemical sprays near the finish.
