Description
The Claridge is a 120cm round wall mirror built from bevelled glass segments arranged in a geometric sunburst pattern around a central oval mirror pane. Each mirrored section is edged with antique bronze resin framing, creating a stepped, layered effect where the glass catches and fractures light at different angles depending on viewing position and room lighting.
Designed for feature walls in hallways, living rooms and above mantels, the mirror's 120cm diameter gives it presence without requiring the ceiling height of a full-length leaner mirror. The stepped Greek key pattern around the edge references Art Deco architectural motifs from the 1920s and 1930s, pairing well with both period interiors and contemporary spaces seeking a vintage accent. The mirror sits 34mm proud of the wall once mounted, creating shallow shadows that add depth to the frame.
The frame is constructed from MDF faced with antique bronze resin, giving the appearance of aged metal without the weight or cost of solid brass or bronze. The bevelled glass segments are cut at consistent angles to form the repeating geometric border, with each piece individually set into the frame. At 18.7kg, the mirror requires secure wall fixings into masonry or into wall studs — the included hanging hardware is designed for brick or block walls rather than plasterboard alone.
The gold-toned bronze finish shows variation in patina across the frame, with darker tones in the recesses between segments and lighter highlights on raised edges. This tonal range is characteristic of the antique bronze treatment and differs between individual mirrors depending on the application of the resin coating during manufacture.

Frequently Asked
What wall fixings are needed?
At 18.7kg, the Claridge requires wall fixings into masonry (brick or block) or into timber wall studs. The mirror includes D-ring hanging hardware on the rear. Plasterboard fixings alone are not suitable for this weight — use solid wall anchors or locate studs behind the plasterboard.
How is the mirror cleaned?
Clean the bevelled glass segments with a standard glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Wipe the antique bronze resin frame with a barely-damp microfibre cloth, avoiding soaking the MDF substrate. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the bronze finish, as they can remove the patina coating.
Does the bronze finish vary between mirrors?
Yes. The antique bronze resin is applied by hand, so the depth of patina and the contrast between light and dark areas differ slightly between individual mirrors. This is a feature of the artisan finish, not a defect.
What room size does it suit?
The 120cm diameter works well in rooms with wall widths of 2.5m or wider, where the mirror can be a feature without dominating the space. In narrower hallways under 1.8m wide, consider the smaller 90cm version of the Claridge if available.
