Description

The Candler is a 64cm crystal chandelier with five curved arms radiating from a central column, each topped with an SES candle bulb holder surrounded by crystal-draped bobeches and faceted teardrop pendants. The frame is polished chrome throughout, giving a mirror finish that reflects both daylight and artificial light around the room.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the 65cm drop from ceiling rose to lowest crystal pendant positions the fitting 1.8-2.0m above floor level when ceiling-mounted. The five-arm symmetry spreads light evenly across a 3-4m diameter area, making it suitable for tables seating six to eight or as ambient lighting over a central seating arrangement. The SES bulbs (sold separately) should be candle-style for visual consistency with the arm design.

The cut crystal droplets catch and refract light from the five bulbs, creating secondary reflections on ceilings and walls. The polished chrome contrasts with the clear crystal to give definition to each arm and bobech, while the 6.2kg weight requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor. What ceiling height is needed?

How is the crystal cleaned?

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

The chandelier is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. Sloped or vaulted ceilings require a ceiling rose adapter plate to provide a level mounting surface, ensuring the arms hang symmetrically and the crystal pendants hang vertically.
