Four G9 bulb fittings sit vertically above the glass discs, with each arm carrying a faceted crystal drop below. The central column runs from the ceiling rose to a faceted crystal finial at the base, giving the fitting vertical structure across its 36cm drop.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and formal sitting rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Caelis pairs well with rectangular or square dining tables where a 54cm diameter chandelier provides balanced illumination without dominating the space. The gold finish on the metalwork gives warmth to neutral and layered interiors, while the clear optical glass and crystal drops maintain visual lightness. The four arms sit in a square cross configuration, so the fitting works best centred over symmetrical furniture arrangements.

The optical glass discs are precision-cut with a radial pattern that diffuses light from the G9 bulbs above them, softening downward glare while allowing light to spread horizontally across the room. Each disc sits approximately 8-10cm in diameter and presents as a clear geometric accent against the gold frame. The faceted crystal drops measure approximately 4-5cm and catch ambient light throughout the day, adding subtle movement and refraction when the chandelier is off. At 4kg the fitting requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 5kg, and installation into a solid ceiling joist or suitable fixing is recommended.

The Caelis takes four G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED G9 bulbs between 2-4W each at 2700K-3000K for warm ambient dining light.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. If you fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and use a trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer switch, the chandelier will dim. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to dimming and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 36cm drop from ceiling rose to base finial suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. When hung over a dining table the base of the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, so the ceiling height determines how much clearance remains for people standing.

Can the height be adjusted?

The chandelier arrives with a fixed 36cm drop from ceiling rose to finial. Some reduction is possible by shortening the suspension chain or rod on installation, but the central column structure limits how much the drop can be reduced without affecting the proportions of the frame.
