Description
The Bonelle is an 8-light chandelier with curved arms radiating from a tall central column, finished in hand-painted grey. Each arm supports a candle-style SES (E14) bulb fitting, arranged in two tiers around the 80cm diameter frame. The central column runs from a turned sphere at the base through a series of turned sections at the top, giving the chandelier a 69cm overall drop before chain adjustment.
Designed for dining rooms with 2.7m or higher ceilings, double-height entrance halls, and drawing rooms where the chandelier can be centred above a table or seating area, the Bonelle provides ambient light across a wide spread. The 8-bulb configuration (bulbs sold separately, max 60W per socket) delivers sufficient brightness for a 4-6m room when paired with 6-8W LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K. The curved arms extend outward and slightly downward, directing light both down onto surfaces and up onto the ceiling.
The hand-painted grey finish gives a matte, slightly textured surface that contrasts with the polished metals and high-gloss whites common in traditional chandeliers. This muted finish works in both heritage interiors where it softens classical proportions and in contemporary schemes where it provides warmth without the formality of brass or chrome. At 4.23kg, the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or a ceiling rose rated for the weight, and the chain allows height adjustment during installation to suit the room proportions.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Bonelle take?
The chandelier takes 8 x SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Maximum 60W per socket. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs between 4-8W and 2700K-3000K for dining room use, which gives around 400-800 lumens per bulb.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 69cm drop before chain adjustment suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For a dining table, the chandelier typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with 2.7-3m ceilings. Higher ceilings allow longer chain drops for double-height spaces.
Is the grey finish painted or powder-coated?
The finish is hand-painted, giving a matte surface with slight tonal variation between individual pieces. This is a feature of the hand-finishing process, not a defect.
How is the chandelier cleaned?
Wipe the painted metal frame with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the finish and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the hand-painted surface.
