Description

The Bloomline is a 45cm diameter semi-flush ceiling light with an opal glass bowl diffuser held by four curved antique brass arms that sweep up from a central ceiling rose. Two SES bulb holders sit inside the glass bowl, with each bulb rated up to 60W (sold separately). The 33cm drop from ceiling to bowl base keeps the fitting within low-ceiling clearance requirements while providing enough depth for architectural detail.

Designed for rooms where a pendant would hang too low — bedrooms, hallways, landings, low-ceilinged reception rooms — the Bloomline provides ambient light through the opal glass without the glare of exposed bulbs. The four brass arms create symmetry and visual anchor on the ceiling plane, giving the fitting more presence than a simple flush dome. The antique brass finish is darker and warmer than polished or brushed brass, sitting comfortably alongside period features, dark wood furniture, deep-toned wall colours and traditional interiors without overwhelming smaller rooms.

The opal glass is a solid white translucent material that diffuses light evenly across the room rather than casting a single bright spot on the ceiling. The brass arms are hollow, concealing the cable runs from the ceiling rose to the bulb holders. At 4kg the fitting requires a ceiling rose and joist capable of supporting the combined weight of the metalwork, glass and two bulbs.

What bulbs does it take?

The Bloomline takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 5-7W and 2700K for bedroom or hallway ambient light.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 33cm drop from ceiling to bowl base makes this a low-profile semi-flush fitting that works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above, where a traditional pendant would hang too low or dominate the ceiling.

Can it be used in bathrooms?
