Description

The Auren is a 53cm flush ceiling light with seven integrated 6W LEDs arranged around a frosted central diffuser, surrounded by a ring of faceted crystal prisms set in a chrome frame. The chrome canopy sits directly against the ceiling, projecting 14cm into the room, making it suitable for spaces where ceiling height is limited or pendant drop is not wanted.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights under 2.4m, the Auren provides broad ambient light across a 3-4m radius while the crystal ring adds decorative detail when viewed from below. The frosted diffuser softens the LED output and prevents glare, while the faceted crystals catch and refract light to create subtle movement across the fitting's surface under different viewing angles.

Each crystal prism is angled to maximise refraction and give depth to the ring without adding significant projection. The chrome frame reflects ambient light from windows and other fittings, which helps the Auren integrate visually with polished or metallic accents in contemporary and classical interiors. At 6.9kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or supported rose.

Is the Auren suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 14cm projection from ceiling to base makes the Auren suitable for rooms with ceiling heights down to 2.2m. The flush mount design avoids the head clearance issues associated with pendant lights.

Are the LEDs dimmable?

Integrated LED fittings from Impex are typically non-dimmable unless stated otherwise in the specification. If dimming is required, confirm compatibility with the manufacturer before installation.

What ceiling fixing is required?

At 6.9kg the Auren requires fixing to a ceiling joist or to a supported rose with a load capacity above 7kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient — the fitting must be mechanically fixed to structural timber or concrete.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the chrome frame and frosted diffuser with a dry microfibre cloth. For the crystal prisms, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water if needed, then dry immediately to prevent watermarks. Avoid household sprays or polishes that can dull the crystal facets.
