Description

The Aura is a 160cm floor lamp built around a single faceted gold glass shade mounted on a slender black metal stem with a circular base. The shade is cut with multiple flat facets that catch and refract light differently depending on viewing angle, creating a jewel-like appearance when lit. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 40W (sold separately).

Designed for reading corners, beside accent chairs, and against walls in lounges or bedrooms, the Aura provides ambient rather than task lighting. The 25cm shade diameter and 160cm total height suit rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings, with the glass sitting at roughly 135-140cm off the floor when the bulb collar is factored in. The vertical profile works in corners without needing floor space for a broad tripod or weighted base.

The gold-tinted glass diffuses warm light outward while the faceted cuts create localised highlights and shadows across the surface of the shade itself. How is the glass shade cleaned?

Wipe the faceted glass with a dry microfibre cloth when the lamp is switched off and cool. For fingerprints or marks, a slightly damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the lamp holder joint at the top of the stem.
