Description

The Allara is a 40cm crystal chandelier built around a polished chrome ring frame supporting five G9 bulb fittings, with cascading crystal drops arranged in a cylindrical drum formation. The laser-cut crystal pieces hang at staggered lengths from the chrome frame, creating a dense curtain of faceted glass that refracts light outward and downward when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for dining tables in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights, entrance halls, and bedroom centrepieces, the Allara provides both ambient light through the crystal diffusion and decorative presence through the play of reflections across the cut crystal surfaces. The five G9 fittings collectively accept up to 33W total load, making this suitable for LED capsule bulbs in the 3-5W range per fitting for a balanced light output without excessive heat. The suspension cables are height-adjustable during installation.

The chrome frame finish provides a cool metallic accent that pairs with contemporary and transitional interiors, particularly those with chrome or stainless steel fixtures elsewhere in the room. The crystal drops are individually hung on metal links, so the drum retains its shape under its own 3.8kg weight without sagging. How is the crystal maintained?

The crystal drops can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, individual crystal pieces can be removed from their links, washed in lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid, rinsed and dried before re-hanging. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the chrome frame or crystal.
