Description
The Zevi EL is an outdoor wall light built for house fronts, entrances and façades, fixed flat to the wall and throwing light both up and down the surface it sits on. It takes two GU10 PAR16 lamps drawing up to 10W each, casting a pair of crisp beams that graze the wall above and below the fitting for a clear up and down effect. Searched in the US as an outdoor wall sconce, this is the compact twin-head format favoured for framing a doorway or marking the corner of a building after dark.
Its single-direction columns of light suit a front door, a porch, a side passage or a stretch of garden wall, where the symmetrical up and down throw reads as a tidy band of brightness rather than a wide flood. Mount it at roughly head height beside an entrance, or a little higher along a boundary wall, and space several down a long façade to keep the lit zones even. With an IP54 rating it is splash-resistant and built for sheltered, covered positions such as a porch or carport, so keep it clear of fully-exposed spots that take direct driving rain or water jets.
The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish, measuring 100 × 100 × 190 mm and weighing 646 g, with the twin GU10 holders set to fire up and down. It runs on 220-240V AC mains and the GU10 format lets you pick your own PAR16 lamps to set beam width and colour temperature, including dimmable lamps on a compatible dimmer. The black housing keeps it discreet against brick, render or timber cladding. Other finishes and matching fittings sit within the wider Zevi range.

Frequently Asked
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, it is rated IP54, which makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered outdoor positions such as a porch, carport or covered entrance. Keep it out of fully-exposed spots that take direct rain or water jets, as IP54 is not rated for those conditions.
How does the up and down light effect work?
The fitting holds two GU10 lamps, one firing upward and one downward, so it casts a column of light up the wall and another down it. This creates a symmetrical band of brightness on the surface, which is why it works well beside a door or along a façade.
Are the bulbs included, and can I dim them?
It takes two GU10 PAR16 lamps at up to 10W each, which let you choose your own beam angle and colour temperature. Dimming depends on the lamps you fit and a compatible dimmer switch, since the GU10 format is lamp-led rather than integrated.
How high should it be mounted?
Beside an entrance, fixing it at roughly head height gives a balanced up and down spread across the doorway. Along a boundary or garden wall you can set it a little higher and space several fittings evenly to keep the lit sections consistent.
