Description

The Vienna is a 24 light three-tier crystal chandelier built around a gold-finished metal frame with scrolled arms, sculpted floral collars and cascading layers of K9 cut-crystal drops, kite pendants and beaded garlands. The fitting measures 116.8cm wide by 122cm tall and weighs 46.3kg, with 24 x E12 candle-style lamp holders rated at 60W maximum (bulbs sold separately). A faceted crystal sphere finishes the lowest point of the frame.

Designed for double-height halls, stairwells, formal dining rooms and ballroom-scale spaces, the Vienna needs ceiling height to be read properly — minimum 4m clearance from the ceiling rose to the floor is recommended so the lower crystal tier sits well above head height. The 150cm supply cable allows the chain to be shortened on installation to suit individual ceiling heights. Given the 46.3kg weight, the ceiling must be checked by a qualified electrician for adequate fixing strength before installation.

The frame uses three vertical tiers: a 16-arm lower ring, a 6-arm mid-tier and a 2-arm upper crown, with crystal swags linking the levels and dressing the central column. The K9 crystal — a high-clarity optical glass produced primarily for chandelier and decorative use — is precision-cut to maximise refraction, throwing patterned light onto surrounding walls and ceilings when lit. Crystal pieces are individually hung, allowing replacements to be sourced and re-strung if a piece is damaged in service.

The gold finish on the metalwork carries a warm, slightly aged tone rather than a bright polish, pairing with crystal in the way traditional Rococo and Neoclassical chandeliers were originally finished. This makes the Vienna a fit for heritage interiors, hotel ballrooms and event venues where the chandelier is intended to read as a period piece rather than a modern reinterpretation.

What ceiling height is needed for this chandelier?

The chandelier itself measures 122cm tall before the supply chain. For the lower crystal tier to sit comfortably above head height in a room used for standing or dining, a minimum ceiling height of 4m is recommended. The Vienna is designed for double-height halls, stairwells and ballroom-scale spaces rather than standard 2.4m residential ceilings.

What bulbs does it take?

The Vienna takes 24 x E12 candle bulbs, 60W maximum each. Bulbs are sold separately. E12 LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) give the closest match to traditional chandelier lighting while keeping the total load well below the 1,440W theoretical maximum.

How is it installed given the weight?

At 46.3kg the chandelier must be fixed to a structural ceiling joist or a dedicated steel support — a standard plasterboard ceiling rose will not carry the load. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, who will also confirm the ceiling fixing point is rated for the combined weight of the fitting and crystal.

Can the chain length be adjusted?

Yes. The 150cm cable allows the suspension chain to be shortened on installation to suit the ceiling height in question. Excess chain is removed during fitting rather than supplied as a separate kit.
