Verdale 4 Light Glass & Wire Pendant Bar - Chrome

The Verdale is a 99cm linear pendant bar carrying four G9 bulb fittings, each housed inside a geometric wire cage wrapped in a curved clear glass shade. The frame is mirror-polished chrome, creating high reflectivity that amplifies surrounding light and colour in contemporary interiors. Each light unit consists of a rectilinear wire cage centred inside a rounded glass enclosure, giving a layered visual effect where the cage remains visible through the glass.

Designed for positioning over kitchen islands, dining tables and long desks, the 99cm bar suits surfaces between 1.8m and 2.4m in length. The linear arrangement of the four lights provides even distribution along the length of the table or worktop, with each G9 bulb (sold separately) providing task or ambient light depending on the chosen wattage and colour temperature. The chrome canopy conceals the ceiling rose and the suspension cables run inside the two wire stems that support the bar from above.

The wire cages inside each glass shade create geometric contrast against the smooth curves of the outer glass, and the mirror-polished chrome finish on the frame reflects nearby surfaces and changes appearance depending on room lighting. At 3kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing, and the 16cm drop from canopy to bar base adds approximately 180mm of vertical clearance requirement once the glass shades are included. The clear glass allows the wire structure to remain visible when the lights are off, giving the fitting a sculptural presence in daylight as well as when lit.

What bulbs does it take?

The Verdale takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting over dining tables, or cool white (4000K) for task lighting over kitchen islands.

What table length does it suit?

The 99cm bar length suits tables or kitchen islands between 1.8m and 2.4m in length. For longer surfaces, consider pairing two Verdale bars in sequence, or choose a longer pendant bar from the Impex range.

How is the bar suspended?

Two vertical wire stems run from the chrome canopy down to each end of the bar, with the suspension cables concealed inside the stems. The canopy mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose and the drop from ceiling to bar is approximately 16cm plus the depth of the glass shades.

Can the chrome be cleaned without damaging the finish?

Yes. Mirror-polished chrome can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water. For fingerprints or water marks, a mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth (not sprayed directly onto the fitting) works well. Avoid abrasive cleaners or cloths that could scratch the polished surface.
