Description

The Varo is a 43cm crystal chandelier with a chrome basket frame formed from interwoven vertical strands, narrowing towards a cluster of large faceted crystal spheres at the base. Five G9 bulbs sit inside the chrome basket, casting light through the crystals and against the reflective chrome surface to produce ambient and refracted light across the room.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Varo hangs on three chrome suspension cables that allow height adjustment during installation. The 43cm diameter suits round dining tables up to 120cm or rectangular tables up to 150cm, positioned 700-850mm above the table surface. The open basket structure means light passes both downwards through the crystals and outwards through the chrome strands, providing task and ambient function without creating a hard shadow beneath.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with stainless steel appliances, mirrored furniture and metallic accent pieces in contemporary and modern interiors. The faceted crystal spheres at the base add visual weight and sparkle when the fitting is lit, while the interwoven chrome strands create a geometric pattern when viewed from different angles. What bulbs does the Varo take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2W-4W each and 2700K-3000K colour temperature for ambient dining or living room light.

Is the Varo dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs used. If you fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the fitting can be dimmed. Non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim regardless of the switch used.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 20cm bowl height plus suspension cables means the fitting works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The suspension cables are adjustable during installation, allowing the fitting to hang 700-850mm above a dining table or kitchen island depending on the room's ceiling height.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Wipe the chrome frame with a dry microfibre cloth. For the crystal spheres, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water or a glass cleaning solution, then dry immediately to avoid water marks. Avoid soaking the electrical components inside the chrome basket.
