Description
The Knightsbridge SKR9 is an under-cabinet 13A 2-gang switched socket with one USB-A and one USB-C charging port, housed in a wedge-shaped stainless steel body that mounts under worktops, shelves or cabinetry. The 77mm depth and angled front face keep the unit low-profile whilst providing right-angle plug access, meaning plugs exit downwards rather than projecting straight out from the wall.
Designed for kitchen worktops, home office desks, hotel bedside tables and workshop benches, the SKR9 provides mains power and USB charging where traditional wall sockets would be too far from the working surface. The under-cabinet mounting keeps the socket accessible at counter height without requiring surface-mounted boxes or trailing cables. Each 13A outlet is individually switched, and the dual USB ports share a 5V 4.0A output (20W max combined) for charging phones, tablets and smaller devices.
The stainless steel body measures 211mm wide by 77mm high by 77mm deep, with a brushed finish that resists fingerprints and blends with stainless steel appliances and modern kitchen hardware. The unit fixes to the underside of a cabinet or shelf with four screws (fixings not supplied) and requires a standard 230V mains feed. The captive screw terminals allow for straightforward wiring during installation. Grey detailing around the outlets and switches provides visual contrast against the steel faceplate.

Frequently Asked
What's the USB charging output?
The USB-A and USB-C ports share a combined 5V 4.0A output, with a maximum of 20W total across both ports. This is sufficient for charging phones and tablets, though not fast-charge protocols for laptops.
How is it mounted?
The SKR9 fixes to the underside of a cabinet, worktop or shelf using four screws through mounting holes in the body. Fixings are not supplied. The unit requires a 230V mains feed to be run to the installation location.
What does 'right-angle design' mean?
The angled front face allows plugs to exit downwards rather than straight out, reducing the projection of plugged-in appliances below the cabinet. This keeps the worktop clear and prevents plug tops from interfering with items on the counter surface.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The SKR9 carries an IP20 rating, which provides no water ingress protection. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installations. Use only in dry indoor locations.
