Description
The T8 LED Tube is a linear G13 lamp built to replace a conventional fluorescent strip tube of the same fitting. It draws just 22W yet stands in for an old 203W tube, putting out 3520 lumens at an efficiency of 160 lm/W. The light is a crisp 6500K daylight tone with a 220 degree beam spread, so the output washes evenly down rather than throwing a tight spot. In US terms the G13 two-pin cap is the standard T8 linear tube fitting, the same format used in shop and office strip fittings.
Daylight at 6500K with Ra 80 colour rendering suits places where clear, neutral visibility matters more than warmth, such as garages, workshops, utility rooms, store rooms and stairwells. The 220 degree beam gives a broad, fairly uniform line of light along a bench or walkway rather than a concentrated pool, which is why a run of tubes is the usual way to cover a longer space. This is an indoor lamp rated IP20, so keep it to dry interior locations and clear of outdoor, damp or bathroom positions. Mount it in an existing T8 batten or strip housing at a sensible working height over the area you want lit.
The lamp runs on 220 to 240V AC and uses a T8 LED source in a linear White body, measuring 28 mm across with a stated 28 mm dimension and weighing 210g. As an LED retrofit it is intended to replace a fluorescent tube, so check whether the original starter must be removed and the ballast bypassed before fitting; follow the lamp's own wiring guidance for your fitting. It is non-dimmable and rated for 30,000 hours of life. The range also covers other caps and shapes across our LED lamp listings.

Frequently Asked
What fitting does this tube use?
It has a G13 two-pin cap, the standard T8 linear tube fitting found in fluorescent strip and batten housings. It is sized to drop straight into an existing T8 fitting of the matching length.
What old tube wattage does it replace?
The lamp itself draws only 22W but delivers 3520 lumens, which stands in for a 203W fluorescent tube. The result is a large cut in running power for similar light output.
Do I need to change anything in my existing fitting?
As an LED retrofit it usually needs the original fluorescent starter removed and, depending on the fitting, the ballast bypassed before use. Check the lamp's wiring guidance against your fitting before installing.
Is this tube dimmable, and what colour is the light?
No, it is non-dimmable, so use it on a standard switched circuit rather than a dimmer. The light is a 6500K daylight tone with Ra 80 colour rendering for clear, neutral visibility.
