Sylva 9 Light Crystal Chandelier - Chrome

The Sylva is a 9-light crystal chandelier built around three graduated tiers of rectangular-cut crystal suspended from a polished chrome frame. Each tier forms a circular band of crystal plates arranged vertically, with the largest tier at the top (approximately 39cm diameter) and the smallest at the base, creating a stepped, cascading silhouette. Nine G9 bulbs sit behind the crystal, casting light through and around the faceted plates to produce refracted patterns on surrounding walls and ceilings.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Sylva's 40cm drop positions the base tier low enough to act as a visual anchor above a table while keeping the upper tiers in view. The narrow profile relative to its height makes it suited to rooms where vertical drama is needed without filling the full width of the space. The chrome canopy and suspension chain fit standard UK ceiling roses.

The polished chrome frame provides high reflectivity that amplifies the light from the G9 bulbs and creates tonal contrast against the clear crystal. Each rectangular crystal plate is precision-cut with bevelled edges, which increases the number of refractive surfaces and gives the chandelier a sharper, more geometric appearance than traditional drop-crystal designs. What bulbs does the Sylva take?

The chandelier uses 9 x G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to stay within the wattage limit while providing adequate light output for a dining table or hallway.

Is the Sylva dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. If you fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the chandelier can be dimmed. Standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 40cm drop works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the tabletop, which means a 2.4m ceiling height could accommodate it if the chain is shortened, but higher ceilings give the three-tier design more visual impact.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal plate gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately to prevent water spots. Avoid household sprays, which can leave residue on the faceted surfaces.
