Description

The Solyx is a 9cm square recessed outdoor wall light housing an integrated 1.5W LED at 3000K, set into a powder-coated die-cast aluminium frame finished in black. The light projects downward through a transparent tempered glass diffuser recessed within the frame, creating a compact accent suitable for pathways, garden steps, stairways and low-level exterior perimeters.

Designed for external installation into masonry or cavity wall construction, the Solyx measures 140mm square with a 40mm projection from the wall surface once installed. The IP65 rating protects the LED and wiring from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for exposed locations including north-facing walls, covered porches and areas subject to rain. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that balances visibility with a softer ambient quality compared to cooler security lighting.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion better than pressed steel alternatives and maintains structural integrity in temperature fluctuations typical of UK outdoor environments. The black powder-coat finish absorbs daylight rather than reflecting it, allowing the fitting to recede into darker brick, render or timber cladding during the day. The 1.5W LED output is sufficient for step marking, path edging and low-level accent lighting where full floodlight brightness is not needed.
