Description

The Solara is a 465mm diameter crystal chandelier with six G9 bulb fittings housed inside a cylindrical drum formed from vertically aligned crystal blocks set against a mirror-backed gold frame. The drum hangs on suspension cables from a circular gold ceiling rose, and the crystal arrangement creates a lattice-like structure with alternating square and rectangular facets that refract and multiply light from the bulbs inside.

Designed for dining tables, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Solara provides both decorative presence and functional downward illumination. The suspension cables allow the drop height to be adjusted during installation, typically positioning the drum 700-900mm above a dining table surface or lower in double-height entrance halls. The six G9 bulbs (sold separately) provide sufficient output to light a 2.4-3m dining table when paired with 33W halogen or equivalent LED bulbs.

The gold finish on the frame and mirror backing creates warm reflections that amplify the crystal's refraction, while the open lattice structure keeps the visual weight lower than a solid drum shade of the same diameter. At 5.6kg the fitting requires a secure ceiling fixing rated for the weight, and the mirror-backed frame means the fitting presents well when viewed from below at a dining table.

The suspension cables are adjustable during installation.
