Description

The Solara is a 44cm crystal chandelier built around a drum-shaped frame lined with rectangular crystal prisms arranged in a lattice pattern. Six G9 bulbs sit inside the drum, each rated up to 33W, casting light through the layered crystal elements that refract and multiply the illumination across the surrounding space. The polished chrome canopy and frame provide structural definition against the translucent crystal.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Solara provides both ambient and decorative lighting. The 18cm height of the drum shade keeps the light source contained while allowing the crystal prisms to project patterns onto adjacent walls and ceilings. The suspension cables are adjustable during installation, allowing the pendant to hang 700-900mm above a dining surface or lower in double-height entrance halls.

The crystal prisms are arranged in offset rows around the drum circumference, creating a woven visual effect when viewed from the side and a more open lattice pattern when seen from below. This construction allows light to escape both horizontally through the gaps and downward through the drum base. The 5.6kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing, the chrome canopy measures 120mm diameter and conceals the ceiling rose connection. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding finishes and works across contemporary, transitional and art-deco-inspired interiors.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe the crystal prisms with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or using household sprays that may leave residue on the reflective surfaces.
