Description
The Solara is a 39cm crystal chandelier built around a circular gold-finished metal frame holding alternating square and rectangular cut crystal blocks in five horizontal bands. Five G9 bulb fittings sit inside the drum, each rated to 33W maximum, casting light through and around the stacked crystal elements. The fixture hangs from three fine suspension cables attached to a matching gold ceiling canopy.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance foyers with ceiling heights above 2.4m, the Solara works as a central feature in rooms needing both ambient and decorative light. The 39cm diameter suits tables of 120-180cm length or circular tables seating four to six. The suspension cables allow the drop height to be adjusted during installation, typically positioning the shade 700-900mm above a dining surface or 2000-2200mm above floor level in an entrance hall.
The crystal blocks are cut with flat facets that catch and refract light at different angles depending on viewing position, so the fixture appears brighter and more varied when lit than when off. The gold finish on the metal bands reads as a warm satin tone rather than high-gloss, reducing harsh reflections under daylight and pairing comfortably with brass, bronze and warm timber finishes. At 4.5kg the assembled fixture needs secure ceiling fixings to a joist or suitable mounting point.
The G9 bulb base is a common fitting for decorative lighting and accepts halogen or LED capsules up to 33W per socket (bulbs sold separately). Most users fit LED equivalents in the 3-5W range with warm white output around 2700-3000K, giving adequate brightness for dining and living spaces without the heat and energy draw of halogen.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Solara take?
The fixture has five G9 capsule fittings, each rated to a maximum of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 capsules in the 3-5W range with warm white (2700-3000K) output, which provides sufficient brightness for dining and living spaces with lower energy consumption and heat than halogen equivalents.
What ceiling height is needed?
The suspension cables are adjustable during installation. For a dining table the shade typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. Higher ceilings allow the fixture to hang lower for increased visual impact.
What size table does this suit?
The 39cm diameter works over rectangular tables of 120-180cm length or circular tables seating four to six people. For longer tables or larger islands, consider positioning two Solara fixtures in a row with spacing of 80-120cm between centres.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal block with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the fixture as liquid can settle on the bulb fittings and cause corrosion.
