Description

The PowerMaster Pavilion is an outdoor wall lantern with an eight-sided charcoal housing and a ribbed polycarbonate diffuser that softens light from an E27 bulb (sold separately). The lantern measures 157mm wide by 212mm high by 222mm deep and weighs 750g, giving it a compact profile suitable for porch entrances, patio walls and garden pathways.

Rated IP44, the lantern resists rain and splashing from any direction, making it suitable for installation in Zones 1, 2 and 3 (not Zone 0). The charcoal finish is a mid-grey powder coat over an aluminium housing, which resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments better than steel equivalents. The E27 base accepts standard Edison screw LED, CFL or filament bulbs up to 60W, allowing control over light temperature and brightness.

The ribbed diffuser breaks up direct glare from the bulb and spreads light in a horizontal arc, reducing harsh shadows below the lantern when mounted at typical porch heights of 1.8-2.2m. The eight-sided housing references traditional Victorian pavilion lanterns while the charcoal finish keeps the look contemporary. The lantern fixes to a wall via a rear mounting plate with two screws (fixings not included).

What bulb does the Pavilion lantern take?

It takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair outdoor lanterns with warm-white LED bulbs around 2700K-3000K and 6-10W output for general porch and pathway lighting.

Is it suitable for coastal areas?

Yes. The aluminium housing with powder-coated charcoal finish resists corrosion better than steel or painted mild steel equivalents, making it suitable for coastal installations where salt air is present.

Can it be used in bathrooms or wet zones?

The IP44 rating and zone certification allow use in outdoor Zones 1, 2 and 3. For indoor bathroom use, Zone 1 is permissible (above a bath or shower enclosure, outside the direct spray zone). It is not suitable for Zone 0 (inside a bath or shower tray).

How is the lantern mounted?

The rear mounting plate fixes to an exterior wall with two screws through pre-drilled holes. Wall plugs and screws are not included. The electrical cable feeds through a central knockout in the plate and connects to the lantern terminals inside the housing.
