Description

The Luminique is an 8-light flush chandelier built from layered tiers of rectangular cut-crystal prisms arranged in a drum formation beneath a polished chrome square canopy. The fitting measures 60cm diameter and 70cm drop, housing eight GU10 LED bulbs (sold separately) behind the crystal layers. Light refracts through multiple tiers of prisms, producing a high-contrast interplay of bright reflections and dark shadow lines across the crystal facets.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4-2.8m where a semi-flush or pendant would sit too low, the Luminique provides decorative presence without consuming vertical space. The flush-mount installation suits entrance halls, living rooms, formal dining rooms and bedrooms where ceiling clearance is restricted but ambient and decorative lighting are both required. Each crystal tier is wired onto a chrome frame ring, creating a geometric drum profile that sits close to the ceiling plane.

The rectangular crystal prisms are precision-cut with faceted edges, so each piece catches and redirects light from the eight bulbs differently depending on viewing angle. The polished chrome canopy and support structure multiply reflections further, intensifying the optical effect when the bulbs are lit. At 16kg the fitting requires a secure ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard fixing. At 16kg the Luminique requires fixing directly to a ceiling joist or into a reinforced plasterboard fixing rated for the weight. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about the ceiling structure.
