Description
The Luminique is a 4-light flush chandelier built around a polished chrome canopy from which four tiers of faceted crystal prisms cascade in a 150cm vertical drop. Each tier consists of rectangular crystal rods arranged in geometric planes, creating a layered, angular form that narrows slightly as it descends. Four GU10 LED fittings sit within the topmost crystal tier, directing light through the prisms to produce diffused sparkle and refracted patterns on adjacent walls.
Designed for stairwells, double-height entrance halls and vertical voids where ceiling height exceeds 3m, the Luminique provides vertical drama without requiring significant floor-area clearance — the 49cm diameter keeps the footprint compact while the 150cm drop fills the vertical space. The flush canopy mounts directly to the ceiling rose, with the entire crystal assembly hanging from a central chrome column. At 21kg, the chandelier requires a ceiling structure capable of supporting the weight, typically a joist-backed rose or reinforced plasterboard fixing.
The polished chrome finish on the frame and canopy reflects ambient light and pairs with stainless steel balustrades, stone flooring and contemporary architectural features. The crystal prisms are precision-cut with faceted edges that catch and scatter light, producing distinct points of brilliance rather than a soft glow. Each tier is fixed rigidly to the central column, so the crystal planes remain static rather than cascading freely like a traditional chandelier — this gives the piece a more architectural, structured appearance.

Frequently Asked
What ceiling height is needed for the Luminique?
The 150cm drop is fixed and cannot be shortened, so the chandelier suits ceilings of 3m or higher. In a typical 2.5m stairwell with a landing void above, the chandelier would hang into the walking space, so measure carefully before purchase.
What bulbs does it take?
The Luminique takes four GU10 LED bulbs, each rated at a maximum of 6W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm white (2700K-3000K) GU10 LEDs for ambient light through the crystal.
Can it be installed on a standard ceiling rose?
The flush canopy fits a standard UK ceiling rose, but at 21kg the chandelier requires the rose to be fixed to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard fixing. A plasterboard-only fixing is not sufficient to carry the weight safely.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Each crystal prism can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals and ensure they are dried immediately. Do not use household sprays or polishes as these leave residue that dulls the faceted edges.
