Description
This LED rope light is a round, flexible encased tube that runs to a full 15m, giving a continuous line of warm white (3000K) light along its length. It draws 30W in total and delivers 1650 lumens, with the diodes sealed inside a 13mm diameter polycarbonate sleeve that bends around corners and curves. Sold as led strip lights in the UK and known as led rope light or rope light across US listings, it is fed through its own connection kit rather than being cut like a bare reel, so the encased run stays sealed end to end. The light is even and diffused, with no bright dots breaking up the line.
Run along eaves, fascia boards, balustrades, pergolas and garden borders, this rope light is built for decorative outlines rather than ambient room lighting. Because the beam follows the tube, coverage is best judged by the length you install rather than a floor area, so the 15m run will trace a long roofline, wrap a patio edge or pick out a path in a single piece. The warm 3000K tone keeps outdoor spaces relaxed after dark, and the Ra 80 rendering keeps brickwork, timber and planting looking natural. It works equally well indoors for cove and shelf outlines where a soft, hidden light source is wanted.
Construction centres on a sealed polycarbonate tube rated IP65, so the rope is weatherproof and holds up to exposed outdoor and wet locations. The fitting runs at 210V DC through its supplied controller and connection arrangement, and the warm white output is fixed at a single colour temperature. Rated for 15,000 hours and weighing 2.21kg over the full 15m, it is a low-maintenance way to add a continuous decorative line. Our wider Kanlux range covers matching connection and feed accessories for setting up the run.

Frequently Asked
Is this rope light suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, so the sealed polycarbonate tube is weatherproof and stands up to exposed outdoor and wet locations. It suits eaves, fascia boards, pergolas and garden borders as well as indoor cove runs.
How does the rope light connect and power up?
It runs at 210V DC and is fed through its own controller and connection kit rather than wired straight to a bare supply. Unlike a cut-to-length strip, the encased tube stays sealed, so it is installed as a complete run via the supplied connection arrangement.
What colour and brightness does it give?
It produces a fixed warm white at 3000K with a total output of 1650 lumens across the 15m length. With a CRI of Ra 80, the light renders timber, brick and planting naturally, giving a soft continuous line rather than visible individual dots.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the tube with a soft, damp cloth once it is switched off and cool, then dry it before powering back on. The sealed IP65 sleeve sheds dirt and moisture, and with a 15,000 hour rated lifespan it needs very little ongoing attention.
