Description
This LED rope light is a round, flexible encased tube giving a continuous line of red light along its full 10m length. It draws 20W in total and is designed for outlines, eaves, balustrades and decorative runs rather than general illumination. Fed through its own connection kit and end caps, it lights as one even strip with no visible dots or gaps. Sold in the US market as an led rope light or rope-style light tube, it offers the same encased, weatherproof format used for trims and feature edges. The 13mm diameter keeps it slim enough to tuck under a lip, run along a fascia or follow the curve of a doorway or pergola.
Because it casts a defined decorative line rather than a broad wash, this rope is best judged on the run it can trace rather than a floor area. The 10m length is enough to outline a porch, a section of decking, a garden arch or a bar front, and several can be linked to follow a longer eave or boundary. The red tone suits seasonal displays, signage edges, venue and event styling, and accent lighting where a bold colour is wanted. For exposed positions, fix it along a sheltered edge or fascia so the run stays neat and the connection point is kept clear of standing water.
The tube is rated IP65, so it copes with exposed outdoor and wet locations including rain and washdown. It runs at 210V DC and must be powered through its matching connection and control kit, not wired straight into a mains socket. Mounting is by clips or channel along the chosen edge, with the encased PVC body protecting the diodes inside. Rated for around 15,000 hours, it weighs 1.53kg across the 10m length. This rope sits within our wider range of strip, neon flex and decorative lighting, with controllers and fixings available to complete an install.

Frequently Asked
Can this rope light be used outdoors?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, so it withstands rain and exposed outdoor positions as well as wet indoor areas. It is well suited to eaves, fascias, porches and garden features. Keep the connection point clear of standing water for the longest service life.
Does it run straight from a mains socket?
No. The rope operates at 210V DC and must be powered through its matching connection and control kit rather than plugged directly into a wall socket. Use the correct kit for the run so the rope lights evenly along all 10m. This keeps the supply safe and the colour consistent end to end.
How long is the run and can it be extended?
Each length is 10m, slim at 13mm diameter, giving enough reach to outline a porch, deck section or garden arch. Several runs can be linked to follow a longer eave or boundary using the connection kit. Plan the layout so the feed and joins sit in accessible, sheltered spots.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the encased tube with a soft damp cloth to remove dust, leaves or grime, with the supply switched off first. Avoid harsh solvents that could mark the PVC casing. Check the end caps and connections occasionally to confirm they remain sealed.
