Description
This LED rope light is a round, flexible encased tube that delivers a continuous line of light along its full 10m length. It draws 20W in total and produces 1200 lumens in a cool white 4000K tone, with a colour rendering of Ra 80. Unlike a bare cut-to-length led strip, this is a sealed rope light fed through its own connection kit rather than trimmed along the run, which keeps the encased tube weatherproof. At 210V DC and just 13mm in diameter, it bends easily around curves and corners for clean, even outlining.
The 10m run suits outdoor decorative work where a continuous glow matters more than flat-out brightness: tracing rooflines and eaves, marking steps and balustrades, outlining a pergola or following the edge of a patio or garden structure. Rather than lighting a room to a set lux level, it works as a defining line of light, so think of it in terms of the run length you need to follow rather than a coverage area in m². Because it is a flexible tube, you can shape it to the feature you are picking out and join sections within the kit's limits to extend the outline across a larger frontage.
Construction is a sealed flexible tube rated IP65, so it stands up to exposed outdoor and wet locations as well as sheltered runs. The cool white diodes are diffused along the tube for an even line without obvious hot spots, and the fitting runs at 210V DC fed through its supplied connection and controller arrangement rather than direct from a bare mains socket. Rated for around 15,000 hours and weighing 1.53kg across the full length, it is built for permanent decorative installation. Our range also includes shorter rope lengths in the same cool white tone for matching smaller features.

Frequently Asked
Can this rope light be used outdoors?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, which makes it weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations as well as sheltered runs such as eaves and porches. Keep the connections made up using the supplied kit so the run stays sealed.
Can I cut this rope light to length?
This is a sealed 10m encased tube rather than a bare strip, so it is fed and connected through its own kit rather than trimmed freely along its length. Any cutting or joining must follow the marked points and the connection arrangement supplied, which keeps the tube weatherproof.
How do I power it and does it run straight off the mains?
The rope light runs at 210V DC and is fed through its supplied connection and controller arrangement rather than plugged straight into a wall socket. Set it up with the kit provided so it operates at the correct voltage.
How do I keep it clean?
Wipe the tube down with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to clear dust, leaves and grime from the surface. Switch it off and let it cool first, and avoid harsh solvents that could mark the encased tube over time.
