Description
The Laven is a garden spike light that stakes directly into soil or a planted border to pick out shrubs, low walls and pathway edges after dark. It takes a single E27 lamp drawing up to 10 watts, running on 220 to 240V AC mains, so the output and colour temperature follow whichever bulb you fit. Many gardeners reach for a term like landscape spike light or pathway light when shopping for this kind of fitting, and the Laven fills exactly that role: a slim 130 x 130 mm head on a 500 mm spike that tilts to aim the beam where it is wanted.
Because it throws a single directed pool rather than lighting a whole room, this is accent and wayfinding light rather than ambient cover. It works well grazing a section of fence or render, marking the turn of a path, or lifting a feature plant out of the surrounding dark, with the angle adjusted by hand once the spike is pushed home. Rated IP44, it is built for splash and sheltered positions such as a covered border, a porch surround or a carport edge, so keep it clear of fully exposed spots that take direct hose jets or standing water. Spacing several units along a run gives even punctuation down a path without over-lighting.
The body is aluminium alloy in an anthracite finish that sits quietly against planting and weathered timber, and the whole fitting weighs 1.12 kg so it stays firmly planted once staked. The spike pushes into the ground and the head locks at the chosen tilt, with no wall fixing or recessing involved. Lamp choice is left open through the E27 base, letting you set wattage and warmth to taste. The Laven range includes further outdoor spike and ground fittings if you are building a coordinated scheme.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, within limits. The IP44 rating makes it splash-resistant and fit for sheltered or covered outdoor spots such as a porch edge or a planted border under cover. It should not be sited where it takes direct water jets or sits in standing water.
Can the angle be adjusted?
Yes. Once the 500 mm spike is pushed into soil, the head tilts so you can aim the beam at a wall, a plant or along a path. This lets you set the throw without moving the spike itself.
Does it run on mains or a transformer?
It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains, so no separate low-voltage transformer is needed. Simply connect it to a suitable weatherproofed mains supply via a qualified electrician.
Is a bulb included?
No bulb is supplied. The fitting takes a standard E27 lamp rated up to 10 watts, so you can choose the wattage and colour temperature to suit the planting or feature you are lighting.
