Description

The JQ-30 Black is a PIR (passive infrared) motion sensor that switches connected lighting on when it detects movement, then off again after a set delay. Decoded from the article code ALER JQ-30-B, it runs on a 220-240V AC mains supply and carries an IP44 rating, so it stands up to splashes and is suited to sheltered indoor and porch positions rather than fully exposed locations. The body is moulded plastic in a black finish.

It wires in line ahead of the fittings it controls, letting compatible luminaires respond automatically to people entering a space such as a hallway, garage, utility area or covered entrance. Many units of this style offer adjustable time and lux settings so you can tune how long the light stays on and the ambient level at which it triggers; check the dials on the unit itself.
