Description

The Granvia is a 6-light crystal cascade chandelier built around a chrome ceiling mount and circular frame, from which multiple strands of faceted crystal beads drop in a 2m vertical column. Six GU10 LED bulbs (sold separately) sit within the upper canopy, directing light downward through the crystal to create refracted sparkle across the surrounding space.

Designed for double-height interiors, the Granvia fits stairwells, galleried landings, entrance halls and foyers with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above. The 50cm diameter keeps the footprint compact while the 2m drop provides vertical presence without overwhelming the floor space below. The crystal strands taper inward mid-drop, creating a defined void at the centre that adds depth and reduces visual weight compared to solid cylindrical forms.

Each strand carries faceted crystal beads that refract daylight and artificial light in multiple directions, giving the chandelier active sparkle throughout the day. The chrome frame and suspension chain provide a cool-toned metallic contrast to the transparent crystal, pairing well with contemporary interiors, minimalist architecture and transitional schemes that mix traditional chandelier forms with modern materials. What ceiling height is needed?

The 2m drop requires a minimum ceiling height of 3.5m to avoid the chandelier hanging too low. The fitting is designed for double-height spaces such as stairwells, entrance halls and galleried landings where the vertical length becomes a feature rather than an obstruction.

What bulbs does it take?

The Granvia takes six GU10 LED bulbs, sold separately. The specification lists a maximum 6W per bulb, which means 6W LED bulbs rather than 6W total output. Most users pair this with warm-white GU10 LEDs around 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to provide ambient light without overpowering the crystal refraction.

How is the chandelier secured to the ceiling?

At 16kg the Granvia requires a reinforced ceiling hook or rose rated for at least 20kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient. Installation into a ceiling joist or into a concrete ceiling with appropriate fixings is required for safe mounting.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Wipe individual crystal beads with a dry microfibre cloth, working from top to bottom. For stubborn marks use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Do not spray household cleaners onto the crystals or chrome frame as residue will dull the refraction and leave streaks on the metal.
