Description

The Glint is a 7-light crystal island chandelier built around a 700mm linear polished chrome frame, from which tiered rows of clear faceted crystal rods hang in parallel alignment. Each of the seven G9 bulb positions (bulbs sold separately, max 33W per bulb) sits behind the crystal curtain, so when lit the crystals act as refractive screens rather than decorative accents around a visible lamp.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Glint provides both task lighting along the length of a worktop or table and decorative sparkle from the faceted crystal surfaces. The 700mm length suits islands and tables between 1.6-2.2m long, and the 21cm height of the crystal tier keeps the fitting compact enough for standard ceiling heights when suspended 700-900mm above the surface below.

The polished chrome canopy and frame provide high-gloss reflections that multiply the prismatic effect of the crystals when the lamps are on. The crystal rods are strung on fine wire in staggered lengths, creating a tiered curtain effect with the longest rods at the centre and shorter rods at the edges, giving the fitting gentle visual taper from below. The combined weight of chrome frame and crystal is 11.6kg, so the fitting requires secure mounting to a ceiling joist or a rated ceiling rose capable of supporting that load.

How is the crystal maintained?

The faceted crystal rods attract dust in kitchens with regular cooking. Wipe each rod gently with a dry microfibre cloth every few weeks. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays near the chrome frame and electrical components.
