Description

The Emberlyte is a 200mm diameter glass globe pendant finished in a reflective copper coating on the outer surface, with a single E27 bulb fitting inside. The glass is blown into a near-spherical shape with a slight taper towards the base, and the copper finish on the exterior reflects ambient light while allowing the bulb inside to glow through from beneath.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bedside positions, the Emberlyte works as a single pendant or in multiples spaced 400-600mm apart along a run. The 180mm height from canopy to base gives enough drop for the pendant to sit clear of a worktop or table without overwhelming the vertical space. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor rooms only — not bathrooms or outdoor locations. The pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable E27 bulb.

The copper finish is a metallic coating applied to the outer surface of clear glass, producing a warm reflective surface that shifts tone depending on the viewing angle and the light source inside. When switched on with a warm-white filament or LED bulb, the copper takes on an amber glow; with cooler bulbs it appears more rose-gold. The glass construction gives the pendant a 0.8-1kg weight that benefits from secure ceiling fixing. Ideal Lux backs the Emberlyte with a 5-year warranty.
