Description

The Ecliptus is a 5-metre 24V LED strip light rated at 20W total output, delivering 4000K cool white light through surface-mounted LEDs sealed within an IP65-rated silicone extrusion. The 24V configuration reduces voltage drop over the 5m run compared to 12V alternatives, maintaining consistent brightness from end to end without requiring intermediate power injections.

Designed for both interior task lighting and exterior architectural installations, the IP65 rating provides dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets, making the strip suitable for outdoor fascia lighting, covered patio installations, bathroom perimeter lighting, kitchen under-cabinet runs, and workshop bench illumination. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white output that sits between warm residential lighting and cooler commercial daylight, working well in garages, utility rooms, and commercial kitchen prep areas where colour accuracy matters more than ambient warmth.

The strip is dimmable when paired with a compatible 24V LED dimmer and driver (sold separately). The 10mm profile allows the strip to sit within shallow aluminium extrusion channels or be surface-mounted directly where low projection is required. The silicone coating provides both the IP65 sealing and a diffused light output that softens individual LED hotspots, though many installations still pair the strip with aluminium extrusion and a frosted diffuser cover for a more uniform light line.

Yes. The strip can be cut at marked intervals along its length (typically every 50-100mm depending on LED density). Cut ends must be sealed with an IP65-rated end cap to maintain moisture protection, particularly for outdoor installations.
