Description

The Dione is a 42cm drum-shaped chandelier with five G9 bulb fittings arranged inside a cylindrical frame built from vertical crystal prisms set between polished chrome rings. Each crystal element runs the full height of the drum, refracting light from the five bulbs in different directions and casting small rainbow reflections across surrounding walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for dining tables, breakfast bars, or entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Dione combines ambient and decorative function in a compact circular footprint. The three suspension wires fix to a polished chrome ceiling canopy and allow the chandelier to be centred above a table or seating area. The 5.3kg weight gives the fitting physical presence without requiring additional ceiling reinforcement beyond a standard ceiling rose.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding colours and light, making the chandelier responsive to changing daylight and evening lighting conditions. The vertical crystal arrangement creates a layered visual depth when viewed from different angles around the room, with the five G9 bulbs (sold separately, maximum 33W total) providing enough light for functional dining or task work underneath. The cylindrical form keeps the spread of light contained within the drum rather than casting it wide across the ceiling.

What bulbs does the Dione take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs with a combined maximum wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with five LED G9 bulbs at 4-5W each and 2700K-3000K for warm white light.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The Dione works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, allowing the chandelier to hang 700-800mm above a dining table surface. For lower ceilings the suspension wires can be shortened during installation.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. The polished chrome frame can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth. The crystal prisms can be cleaned with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then buffed dry to remove water marks.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs fitted. Use dimmable-rated LED G9 bulbs and pair with a compatible LED dimmer to achieve dimming functionality.
