Description
The Dalston is a 101cm round coffee table combining a sandblasted black mango wood top with an aged champagne metal frame. The frame uses four vertical supports joined by a cross-base at floor level, with angled detailing along the edges of each metal member. The mango wood surface is textured through sandblasting, which exposes the grain structure and gives the black stain a matt, tactile finish rather than a polished gloss.
Designed for living rooms and lounge areas with sofas arranged in L-shapes or facing pairs, the 101cm diameter provides central surface area without overwhelming smaller spaces. The 40.5cm height sits lower than standard dining height, making it comfortable to reach from a seated position on a sofa or armchair. The cross-base configuration distributes weight across four floor contact points, keeping the table stable on rugs and hard floors without requiring a central column that intrudes into legroom underneath.
The champagne finish on the iron frame is an aged bronze-gold tone rather than a bright metallic, which softens the contrast with the black wood and pairs with both warm and cool colour schemes. The sandblasted mango wood shows grain variation across the surface depending on the section of timber used, so no two tables present identical patterning when viewed up close. The combined wood and metal construction weighs 16.9kg, giving the table enough mass to resist movement when items are placed on or removed from the surface.
The Dalston collection includes matching console and side tables in the same black mango wood and champagne frame combination, allowing coordinated furniture groupings across a room or open-plan space.

Frequently Asked
What is sandblasted wood?
Sandblasting is a process where compressed air propels abrasive particles at the wood surface, eroding softer grain sections and leaving harder grain raised. This creates a textured, tactile finish that shows the wood structure more prominently than smooth sanding alone. The black stain is then applied to the textured surface, resulting in a matt finish with visible grain detail.
Will the table suit a small living room?
The 101cm diameter occupies roughly 1m² of floor space. This works in living rooms where the sofa arrangement leaves at least 1.2-1.5m of clear floor width in the centre. For tighter spaces under 3m wide, a smaller side table from the Dalston range may be more proportionate.
How is the wood maintained?
Wipe the mango wood surface with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or using spray polishes, as mango wood can absorb moisture and the sandblasted texture holds cleaning residues in the grain. For stubborn marks, a wood-safe cleaner applied sparingly to the cloth (not directly onto the table) is acceptable.
Is assembly required?
The table typically arrives with the top separate from the base frame. Assembly involves attaching the wood top to the frame using the supplied fixings, which usually takes 10-15 minutes with basic tools. Full assembly instructions are included in the packaging.
