Description

The Coral is a 50.5cm diameter tiered chandelier built around a matt gold metal frame with two horizontal rings, the upper ring supporting vertical crystal glass rods that hang in a radial curtain around the centre. Six E14 bulb fittings sit inside the crystal enclosure, with light passing through the rods and reflecting off the satin-finish gold metalwork to create diffused ambient light across a 360° spread.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Coral provides both decorative presence and functional overhead lighting. The 38.5cm overall height is suspended on an adjustable chain, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or higher in a foyer depending on the room proportions. The two-tier construction creates depth and shadow variation as light bounces between the upper and lower metal rings.

Each of the crystal rods is cut with vertical fluting that catches and redirects light in different directions depending on viewing angle, so the chandelier appears to shift in brightness as you move around the room. The matt gold finish on the metalwork provides a warmer tone than polished brass or chrome, pairing well with both contemporary neutrals and traditional warm-wood interiors. At 8.2kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced ceiling rose.

What bulbs does the Coral take?

The chandelier takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs (candle-style), sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a total light output equivalent to a 240-360W incandescent fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 38.5cm body height plus chain suspension works best in rooms with 2.7m or higher ceilings. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, requiring at least 2.4m floor-to-ceiling clearance to avoid head contact when standing.

How is the chain length adjusted?

The chain can be shortened during installation by removing links before final wiring. The cable run inside the chain allows adjustment without re-wiring until the desired drop is achieved.

How are the crystal rods cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each rod with a dry microfibre cloth, working from top to bottom. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metalwork or using spray cleaners near the electrical fittings.
