The Brass Small is a 90mm square recessed ground light with a grey resin housing and an IP67-rated construction that seals out dust and water to 1m depth. A single GU10 bulb (sold separately) sits behind a clear polycarbonate lens that sits flush with the ground surface once installed, making it suitable for areas with foot traffic, light vehicle loads on driveways, and paved pathways.

Designed for residential driveways, garden paths, decking perimeters and commercial forecourts, the Brass Small fits a recessed mounting box that sits below ground level with the top rim level with the finished paving or soil surface. The grey finish blends into concrete, gravel and dark-toned paving during daylight, while the light output after dark defines edges and changes in level along walkways. The GU10 fitting accepts dimmable LED lamps, allowing brightness to be reduced in late evening or adjusted seasonally.

The resin housing resists UV degradation and thermal cycling better than painted metal alternatives, maintaining its grey finish without flaking or discolouration over multiple seasons. The 90mm footprint requires a corresponding mounting box (sold separately) with sufficient depth to house the GU10 lamp and holder below ground level. The IP67 rating means the fitting can withstand temporary submersion during heavy rain or garden irrigation without internal moisture ingress.

Can this be driven over?

The fitting is rated for foot traffic and light occasional vehicle loads on residential driveways when correctly installed flush with the paving surface. For heavy commercial vehicle traffic or frequent use, check with the installer whether additional protective measures are needed.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb up to 50W. GU10 LED lamps between 3W and 7W are typical for pathway lighting. Bulbs are sold separately and must be rated for outdoor use in enclosed fittings.

Does it need a separate mounting box?

Yes. The light requires a recessed mounting box installed below ground level, with the top rim sitting flush with the finished paving or soil surface. The box must accommodate the GU10 lamp holder and provide cable entry from below or the side.
