The Barossa is a 33cm square lantern built around a metal frame finished in aged gold, with geometric fretwork forming an open lattice pattern on all four sides. A hammered glass flute sits inside the frame, holding a candle and diffusing the flame while protecting it from drafts. The glass flute opening measures 15cm in diameter, designed to fit a 10cm x 20cm pillar candle.

Designed for indoor use and covered outdoor spaces such as verandas and conservatories, the Barossa suits dining tables, console tables, mantels and floor placement as an ambient light source. The arched carry handle allows the lantern to be moved between rooms or hung from a hook or bracket. The fretwork casts geometric shadow patterns onto nearby walls and ceilings when the candle is lit.

The aged gold finish is hand-applied over the metal frame, giving each lantern slight tonal variation and a burnished patina that suggests antique metalwork.
