Description

The Astim is a surface-mounted LED downlight that pushes 910 lumens from a 12W integrated board, running direct from 220-240V AC mains. The light is a neutral 4000K white at Ra 80, spreading through a wide asymmetric beam of 120 degrees by 105 degrees. American buyers will know this rectangular surface fitting as a low-profile recessed can light alternative, sitting proud of the ceiling rather than dropping into it. The slim 600 x 100 mm body keeps the fixture flat against the surface while the broad spread softens shadows below.

The wide beam suits compact rooms where a single fitting needs to cover the floor evenly, lighting around 3 m² at general lighting levels. No, the Astim is a non-dimmable fitting and should be run on a standard switched circuit. Pairing it with a dimmer is not recommended, as this can cause flicker or shorten the life of the integrated LED.

No cut-out is needed. This is a surface-mounted fixture, so it fixes flat against the ceiling rather than dropping into a recessed hole, which makes it ideal for solid ceilings or anywhere recessing is not practical.
